El Drogas brings decades of Spanish rock to the stage, drawing on his years with Barricada and his later work.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Enrique Villarreal, known as El Drogas, is a major figure in Spanish rock whose career is closely tied to Barricada. He was the band’s singer, bassist, songwriter and leader. His live show draws on that history as well as the music he has made under his own name.
The repertoire spans songs associated with Barricada and material from his later projects. After beginning his professional career in 1982, Villarreal also formed Txarrena, which later took the name El Drogas. His subsequent work has explored more reflective, personal themes and sounds.
Tracks linked to his time with Barricada include “No hay tregua”, “Barrio conflictivo” and “Okupación”. Other titles associated with his repertoire include “Esperando en un billar”, “Sueños rotos” and “Azulejo frío”. Together, they reflect different chapters of El Drogas’ Spanish rock career.
El Drogas suits festivals, concerts and celebrations looking for Spanish-language rock with a catalogue familiar to several generations of fans. A video for “Esperando en un billar” was filmed during a performance attended by around 12,000 people.
