Tulsa are a Spanish indie rock band led by singer-songwriter Miren Iza. The band took shape in 2002 after Electrobikinis, the group she belonged to, split up. For events seeking Spanish-language songwriting and a band with a long creative history, Tulsa are an option to consider for private functions and celebrations.
The initial line-up brought Iza together with Alfredo Niharra, Gabriel Marijuan, Miguel Guzmán, Alberto Rodrigo and Charlie Bautista. Tulsa released their debut album, Sólo me has rozado, in 2007, following the Tulsa EP. Later albums include Espera la pálida, La calma chicha and Centauros. The band has five studio albums in total. Their work also includes music for the short film Ignonauta, in which they took part.
Indie rock is the band’s foundation, with a shift in sound particularly apparent on La calma chicha. Songs linked to their catalogue include «Bilbao», «Los amantes del puente», «Gambetta», «Centauros» and «Oda al amor efímero». Miren Iza has also worked with Enrique Bunbury, Julio de la Rosa and León Benavente.
