Brazilian duo featuring vocals, guitar, percussion and dance, available in acoustic or dance set-ups.
Dúo Liston, also known as Elys & Tony, features Elis Souza and Tony Santos, a Brazilian couple who have worked in the arts for more than 30 years. After performing in several Brazilian cities, they moved to Spain in 2004. They are based in Vinaròs, Castellón, and travel around Spain for performances.
The acoustic option pairs vocals with rhythm guitar, making it suitable for dinners, drinks receptions, banquets and bars. For a dance set, the duo use pre-recorded MIDI backing tracks alongside live percussion.
Elis is a singer and dancer. Tony plays guitar and percussion, sings backing vocals and dances. The performance can be adapted to different event settings. Their technical set-up includes two wireless microphones, guitar, two congas and percussion effects, as well as amplified speakers and a professional mixing desk. They need a 220 V power supply and a raised area measuring 2 × 2 metres.
Their influences include Brazilian and Spanish artists. Their repertoire features songs such as “Garota de Ipanema”, “Aquarela”, “Coraçao Espinado”, “El gato triste y azul”, “Woman No Cry” and “Como quisiera”.
The acoustic format works well for dinners and drinks receptions. The dance set can suit parties, banquets and celebrations looking for music with live dancing.
