El 2 Negro is a classically trained flute and piano duo performing Latin American music, classical pieces and covers.
El 2 Negro is a classically trained duo featuring flautist Cristian Sanmartín and pianist Carlos Reyes. Their work brings together performance, composition and musical research, with a programme that introduces academic Latin American music to celebrations and cultural events.
Flute and piano are at the heart of this live set, offering an intimate instrumental sound suited to attentive listening. The duo has been working together since 2005, and both musicians also have experience in music education.
The programme may include academic Latin American music, classical works and covers. This gives event organisers a choice of styles within a compact instrumental format.
El 2 Negro can suit weddings, private functions and corporate events looking for live music during a reception or a dedicated listening slot. The duo may also appeal to cultural programmes featuring Latin American repertoire and chamber music.
