A five-piece castanet ensemble pairing a classical foundation with LED-lit castanets and a varied programme.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Castanets BCN is a quintet of concert castanet players, each with a solo career. Formed in 2018, the group explores new ways of presenting the instrument while keeping its classical roots in view. LED-lit castanets bring a contemporary visual element to the performance.
The set draws on classical works, Spanish music and familiar screen themes. It includes pieces such as The Four Seasons, Goyescas, Doña Francisquita and La revoltosa, alongside music associated with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Game of Thrones and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Line-up: Mar Bezana, Vanessa Tello, Gabriel Robles, Miguel Angel Pacheco and Pilar Garcia.
Technical setup: a USB music player, sound amplification, stage monitors and ambient microphones depending on the room. A dressing room near the stage is requested; standard venue lighting is used.
This concert-style castanet show suits occasions looking for a distinctive live music feature, from weddings and private celebrations to corporate events and public festivities.
