The Charlies play Spanish pop-rock covers designed to get the audience singing and dancing. Their set focuses on well-known songs from the 1980s and 1990s, and runs for between 90 minutes and two hours. They can perform in indoor venues, marquees or outdoor squares.
The band has four musicians, covering guitar, vocals and acoustic guitar, bass and drums, with additional vocals. Hender Contreras handles sound engineering. The band brings its own equipment for indoor venues; outdoor events may need extra sound reinforcement. The performance area should be at least 9 square metres, with 220–240 V power, an earthed socket and a minimum capacity of 3,000 W.
The set draws on Spanish pop-rock from the 1980s and 1990s. Influences include Alaska, Loquillo, Hombres G, Los Secretos, La Guardia, Tequila, Radio Futura, M-Clan, El Último de la Fila, Duncan Dhu, Nacha Pop, Los Rodríguez, Coque Malla and Coti. Songs are performed in Spanish, and the selection can be shaped around the client’s requirements.
