An Alicante pop rock band playing Spanish hits from the 1980s and 90s, with a live tribute to the Movida Madrileña.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
MP2 Mesa para Dos are an alternative pop rock band from Alicante province. Vero Molina sings, joined by Rubén Molina on guitar, David Vilaplana on bass and Marcos Vilaplana on drums. Their live set revisits Spanish pop and rock from the 1980s and 90s, including the era of the Movida Madrileña.
The show opens with a six-minute documentary on Spain’s political and cultural climate at the time. The band then performs up to 25 songs associated with those decades. This format pairs live music with a short audiovisual introduction that gives the audience context for the concert.
The set spans different strands of Spanish pop and rock. It includes songs associated with Alaska, Hombres G, La Unión, La Frontera, Mecano, Loquillo, Tino Casal, Duncan Dhu, Nacha Pop, COZ, Radio Futura and El Último de la Fila.
MP2 Mesa para Dos suit town fiestas, private celebrations and events where familiar Spanish classics can bring different generations together. The songs encourage a singalong and a dance, while the documentary sets the scene for the music that follows.
