An acoustic duo pairing soulful vocals with classical guitar, blending soul with blues, jazz, flamenco and bossa nova.
Acoustic Black Sessions is an acoustic voice and classical guitar duo, giving familiar songs its own soulful feel. Kheyrat’s vocals are paired with José Pruñonosa’s guitar in an intimate format suited to venues where music can sit comfortably alongside the occasion.
The music draws on vocal soul, with touches of blues, jazz, classical music, flamenco and bossa nova. The duo regularly works in venues, bars, restaurants and smaller events. Their setup calls for an armless chair for the guitarist, a stool for the singer and a 220 V power socket; their vocal equipment is usually sufficient for these settings.
The set brings together soul and other classic songs, reworked in the duo’s style. It includes “What’s Going On”, “Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay”, “My Baby Just Cares for Me”, “Billie Jean”, “Stand by Me”, “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Ain’t No Sunshine”, alongside songs by Joan Manuel Serrat and Ketama.
The acoustic setup works well in venues, bars, restaurants and smaller celebrations. Voice and guitar create a warm sound, with a repertoire many guests will recognise.
