Karmento blends singer-songwriter music, copla, flamenco and Manchegan folk in a personal, roots-led live performance.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Karmento is the stage name of Carmen Toledo, an artist from La Mancha whose songs tell stories through a distinctive mix of singer-songwriter music, copla, flamenco and regional folk. Her roots-led sound suits cultural programmes and celebrations looking for a thoughtful live performance.
Her profile reached a national audience in 2023, when she appeared at Benidorm Fest with “Quiero y duelo”, a song that brought Manchegan folklore to the final. She has released two albums: “Mudanzas” (2015) and “Este devenir” (2020). The latter was named among MondoSonoro’s ten best roots music albums of the year and received a Premios MIN nomination. Her live show has also been recommended by Redescena and included in Girando por Salas and AECID’s international catalogue.
Karmento’s music moves between tradition and songwriting, drawing on copla and flamenco. “Mudanzas” and “Este devenir” offer a sense of the different stages in her recorded work.
She can be considered for local festivals, cultural programmes, concerts and private events seeking Spanish roots music. For weddings and corporate occasions, the format and technical requirements can be discussed around the event.
