What the fee includes (and what it does not)
The caché is the price an artist charges for a performance. Depending on the deal, it may cover the performance alone or also production, travel, accommodation and crew per diems — which is why two identical fees can cost the promoter very different amounts. Always ask for the breakdown: artistic fee, technical production required by the rider, and logistics.
What moves the price
The main factors are current popularity, the date (an August Saturday multiplies it), distance, the format (solo, with band, with dancers) and the type of event. Momentum rules: after Eurovision 2025, the Spanish press reported that Melody's fee had multiplied compared to the previous year — the perfect example of how a popularity spike feeds straight into the price.
