An 18-piece acoustic brass band from Menorca, with nearly 30 years’ experience playing popular celebrations and weddings.
From Menorca, Txaranga Idò Sí brings nearly 30 years’ experience performing at the island’s popular festivities, as well as weddings and fairs. The 18 musicians combine percussion, brass and woodwind: drums, snare drums, toms, bass drum and cymbals support the trumpets, euphonium, trombones, clarinets and saxophones.
The band plays live without amplification or sound equipment, making it a flexible option for celebrations where an acoustic sound suits the occasion. Its repertoire spans traditional popular music, 1980s songs and current hits. The set can include pieces such as «Paquito Chocolatero», «Amparito Roca», «Bella Ciao», «Seven Nation Army» and «Pepas». Additional pieces can be included at the client’s request.
Its experience makes Txaranga Idò Sí a natural choice for weddings, fairs and local festivities. The varied repertoire and acoustic format bring live music to a range of celebrations. Where travel by plane or boat is required, the client is responsible for arranging and covering that journey.
