Pepe Begines is the singer and creator behind No me pises que llevo chanclas, the group associated with agropop. He continues to perform with the band and also brings songs from his solo career to the stage, giving the show two strands of his musical work.
Joined by a band of musicians, Begines performs well-known No me pises que llevo chanclas songs alongside tracks from his solo releases. Humour and irony are part of the style, with lyrics that make the concert accessible to a broad audience.
His solo albums include Mi propia película, Lencería fina and Gira Mundial. He has also performed as Pepe el Lusitano. The set draws on Spanish pop associated with agropop as well as material from his individual career.
This band show can suit town festivals, private parties, weddings and corporate events looking for live music with a comic edge. The mix of group favourites and solo songs gives the performance its shape.
