Los Pekenikes perform instrumental pop-rock, drawing on a career that began in 1959. The current eight-piece line-up brings together musicians from different periods in the band’s history. Founding guitarist Ignacio Martín Sequeros remains with the group, as does drummer Félix Arribas, who joined in 1967.
The band began by playing Spanish-language rock and roll and adapting traditional Spanish songs. Following the success of “Los cuatro muleros”, they focused on instrumental rock. Their career includes opening for The Beatles at their Madrid concert in 1965 and spans more than six decades.
