Spanish political rap with social commentary, irony and an intimate live feel that brings the group close to its audience.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Los Chikos del Maíz bring Spanish rap with a strong social perspective to the stage. Their lyrics address subjects including the monarchy and working conditions, delivered with irony and a questioning tone. The group consists of Ricardo Romero, Toni Mejías and DJ Bokah. Their close rapport with audiences makes them a natural option for concert venues, festivals and events looking for rap with something to say.
Their approach blends political reflection, sarcasm and a free-flowing rap style. Across around ten releases, the band has developed a catalogue that challenges public decisions and their consequences. They have toured in Spain and Latin America, appearing in concert rooms as well as festival settings. The best setup depends on the venue and the event’s technical requirements.
The set may feature tracks such as “Los Borbones son unos ladrones”, “El derecho a la pereza”, “Criptobros”, “Nómadas” and “No pasarán”. Their music also includes a more introspective side and influences from 1990s rap. Expect a performance shaped by pointed lyrics, political themes and an engaging connection with the crowd.
