La Poptelera are a four-piece covers band led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Mario Martínez, a finalist on Operación Triunfo 3. The musicians have shared stages for more than 15 years, bringing familiar songs to audiences across generations.
The show moves through hits from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, as well as more recent tracks. Carefully shaped arrangements keep the character of each song while giving it the band’s own touch. Their repertoire and influences include Lori Meyers, Izal, Vetusta Morla, Iván Ferreiro, Morat and Arde Bogotá, alongside Spanish pop classics such as «La chica de ayer», «20 de abril», «Lobo hombre en París» and «Cadillac solitario».
Mario Martínez sings and plays guitar, joined by Jimmy Rizzos on bass, Siddhartha Lucas Pérez on drums and Jon Kamiruaga on guitar. The performance is fully live, without backing sequences. Technical requirements are agreed according to the event, and the band’s technical rider must be met by the client.
La Poptelera can bring a live covers set to town fiestas, weddings, private celebrations and corporate events looking for well-known songs and an energetic band performance.
The fee depends on the date, location, format and technical requirements. Tell us about your event to request a no-obligation quote; we’ll reply within 24 hours.
