Fifteen Brazilian percussionists bring samba rhythms and choreography to festivals and events.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Based in Sestao, Bizkaia, Katxarrada Batukada is a Brazilian percussion group of 15 performers. Active since 2007, the ensemble provides live musical entertainment for fiestas and social occasions. Its sound draws on Rio’s samba-enredo tradition, with rhythms developed from that influence.
The group offers three ways to perform: a moving street parade, a static display close to the audience, or a stage show. Sets can be tailored to the event, from 15 minutes up to three hours. Choreography, coordinated costumes, decorated instruments and distinctive make-up shape the visual side of the performance.
The ensemble uses a range of Brazilian percussion instruments. The listed line-up includes surdos, caixas, chocalhos or rocars, agogô and tamborim, led by a mestre. This gives the group flexibility to bring rhythm to a parade route, perform among spectators or take to a stage.
Katxarrada Batukada can suit local fiestas, street parades, celebrations and other social events looking for live percussion. The format and duration are agreed around the event, whether you need a short appearance or several hours of entertainment.
The fee depends on the date, location, format and technical requirements. Request a no-obligation quote and expect a reply within 24 hours.
