Dancer, choreographer and stage artist Katerina la Greca brings more than 25 years of international experience to a performance rooted in flamenco, contemporary dance and physical theatre. The staging can be adapted to suit the venue and event format.
Her main show, Embrujo Flamenco, runs for 60 minutes, moving through choreographed scenes alongside improvisation and audience interaction. For hotels, private celebrations and dinner events, it can also be arranged as three 15-minute sets. Performances are available with recorded or live music; themed versions can be discussed in advance.
Traditional flamenco meets jazz, world music and experimental sounds. The programme may feature soleá por bulería, alegrías, tientos and tangos, guajira with a fan, improvisation, and theatrical scenes with a mantón or bata de cola. Her work has appeared at opera theatres, festivals, philharmonics, tablaos and cultural events in Germany, Greece, Canada and elsewhere.
The show can suit weddings, fiestas, cultural programmes, hotels, corporate functions and private events. Katerina is based in Gran Canaria and works across the Canary Islands, nationally and internationally. She can bring a 4 x 3 metre professional wooden dance floor and portable sound equipment for small to medium-sized spaces. The performance area must be safe; a ceiling height of 3.5 metres is recommended, with at least two hours allowed for setup and sound checks.
