La Última de las 100 Mentiras is Lord Beyron’s tribute to Joaquín Sabina. The Zaragoza band has spent more than fifteen years performing this homage, which follows different periods in the singer-songwriter’s catalogue. The show is particularly suited to seated audiences in venues and theatres with good acoustics.
The six musicians cover vocals, guitar and percussion; two further guitar parts with backing vocals; bass and backing vocals; drums and percussion; and piano and keyboards. The carefully staged concert runs for over two hours, bringing together melody, poetry, rhythm and rock and roll.
The set draws on songs from the beginning of Sabina’s career through to more recent compositions. Its focus is on performing his music with a considered presentation and sound suited to the show. The band’s sound system can follow its technical rider, and the musicians may be able to provide the equipment themselves.
