A Brazilian-style percussion group with a warrior look for parades, weddings, local festivals and private celebrations.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Kanaloa is a percussion group with a warrior-inspired look and a varied musical approach. Its performances can take the form of a parade or a correbares, bringing live rhythms to private and public celebrations. The group also performs at weddings, christenings, birthdays, hen and stag parties, and fairs.
The ensemble brings together repinique, timba, cowbells, chocalhos, snare drums and surdos in different pitches. This percussion line-up suits moving performances as well as appearances in a fixed event space.
Kanaloa draws on a range of musical styles within its batucada performance. The group’s warrior aesthetic is part of its visual identity and complements the rhythmic focus of the show.
