David Dominique Jazz Band provides live music for private celebrations and corporate events. The line-up can be tailored to the occasion and atmosphere, from unobtrusive music during a reception or meal to a show designed to get guests dancing.
Options range from a piano and vocal duo to larger groups featuring double bass, percussion or drums, with female vocals or saxophone available in some line-ups. A 15 to 17-piece Big Band is also available for a larger-scale show. David Dominique is the vocalist; the trio features Sergio Fernández on double bass and Jorge Vera on piano. The stage look takes inspiration from the 1950s.
The repertoire covers jazz, swing, bossa nova and ballads, including instrumental and vocal standards. A distinctive feature is “Pop to Jazz”, which reimagines pop hits from different decades with jazz and swing arrangements. The band also offers a Frank Sinatra tribute. Song requests are welcome from within the repertoire, which can be shaped around the client’s preferences.
