Galician band Dakidarría blend ska, punk, rock and reggae, with nine musicians and socially engaged lyrics.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Founded in Galicia in 2003, Dakidarría combine ska, punk, rock and reggae. Their music pairs a lively band sound with socially engaged, campaigning lyrics, usually written in Galician. Their songs have also used other languages over the years.
The line-up brings together nine musicians covering vocals, guitars, bass, drums, percussion, trombone, trumpet, baritone saxophone and programming. The mix of voices and brass gives the performance breadth while keeping its ska and punk foundations.
Dakidarría have released six studio albums, several live records, a compilation and an album with lyrics in both Spanish and Galician. Their releases include ‘Filosofía incendiaria’, ‘Colaxe’ and ‘XX’. The band have played festivals including Viña Rock, Shikillo, Revenidas, Son Rías Baixas and VinToro, and toured Europe and Mexico.
Their full-band format and ska, punk and rock blend suit town festivals, festivals, corporate functions and private celebrations looking for live music with a social edge.
