Flamenco singing across bulería, soleá and seguiriya, from a voice shaped by close links to leading artists.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Duquende, the stage name of Juan Rafael Cortés Santiago, is a cantaor from Sabadell known for his flamenco singing. His performance can bring a programme centred on the voice and the many forms of flamenco to a cultural event or private celebration.
His repertoire includes forms such as bulería, soleá and seguiriya. His career began when, as a child, he shared a stage with Camarón de la Isla, who became his mentor. Over the years he has worked with guitarists including Paco de Lucía and Tomatito, and spent time performing as part of both artists’ groups.
Albums associated with his discography include Fuego, primo fuego, Soy el duende, A mi aire, Mi forma de vivir and Rompecabezas. He also released Mano a mano: Parrita y Duquende with fellow cantaor Vicente Castro, known as «Parrita».
Duquende can suit flamenco festivals, recitals, cultural programmes and private celebrations looking for live cante. His career has taken him to stages in Europe, the Americas and Japan, including the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris.
