Cientambores is an Afro-Brazilian percussion school offering batucada performances, workshops and group activities. The service is adapted to each event, whether guests want to watch the musicians or take part themselves.
Performances can be staged in one place or presented as a street parade. Group sizes range from small ensembles and school groups to large formations. The programme can also include outdoor batucada workshops, percussion sessions designed to build team cohesion, and body percussion workshops.
The music draws on songs from Salvador da Bahia, the home of samba reggae, and the traditions of its Afro-Brazilian blocos. The repertoire includes Olodum, Timbalada, Didâ, Cortejo Afro and Ilê Aiyê. Each ensemble has between eight and thirty school musicians, with performance direction and teaching led by Javier Romero, Aitor Sáez de Jáuregui and David Ramón.
The quote depends on the date, location, format and technical requirements. Cientambores needs no additional technical equipment and can perform outdoors or in indoor spaces with low reverberation. Request a no-obligation quote within 24 hours and outline the activity you have in mind.
