A Brazilian percussion group mixing samba rhythms, dancing and audience interaction for lively events.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Kalima du Samba is a Brazilian percussion group offering live rhythms alongside street-style entertainment. The performance brings together drumming, movement and activities that invite guests to join in.
Changing rhythmic patterns, musical breaks and varied entrances give the set a shifting feel. Dancing accompanies the percussion, while chants create opportunities for the audience to take part. Games and interaction can also form part of the street animation.
The repertoire draws on carioca and carnival samba, sambareagge with references to Olodum and Timbalada, and afrosamba combining African rhythmic foundations with samba patterns. Sambafuncky and fusions with Mediterranean and Latin rhythms are also included.
This format can work well at town festivals, private celebrations and corporate events looking for percussion with an engaging, participatory element. Street animation brings the music into direct contact with guests through dancing, games and chants.
