A Catalan performing arts company blending percussion, singing, dance and audience interaction.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Sound de Secà is a Catalan performing arts company with ten years of experience. Its work brings music and movement together with singing and performance, with direct audience interaction at its heart. The result is a lively stage-led take on a percussion act for public celebrations and other events.
Original compositions provide the basis for percussion, voices and dance. Melodic instruments, including ukulele and accordion, add another dimension, while the company continues to explore new ways of working with percussion. Music, movement and performance are presented as connected parts of the same show.
The musical palette centres on Afro-Latin rhythms. Sound de Secà may suit town festivals and other occasions where a performance combining percussion, singing and dance can bring an audience together. If you are looking to book a batucada with a theatrical element, ask us about Sound de Secà.
