Antonio Canales brings the force of flamenco to the stage through choreography created for his company and a career recognised internationally.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Antonio Canales is a flamenco dancer with an international profile. He began his career with Spain’s National Ballet, where he became a soloist, before moving to Paris to join Maguy Marin’s company. There, he performed as a principal dancer in more than 50 works and appeared at international galas.
Canales founded his own dance company in 1992. Its repertoire includes works such as A ti Carmen Amaya, Siempre Flamenco, Torero and Gitano. Later choreography includes Cenicienta and Ojos verdes. The performance centres on flamenco dance and pieces created for his company.
His work has received the 1995 National Dance Award and the 2020 Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts. He was also awarded the Indanza Association’s Silver Dance Shoe in 2017 and named an Outstanding Member of CID UNESCO.
This flamenco performance may suit cultural programmes, town festivals, private functions and corporate events looking for a dance-led programme. For weddings, ask about the format and the event’s requirements.
