Anita Franklin brings soul and funk to the stage, with a choice of an acoustic trio or the full band.
Anita Franklin & Soul Session bring live soul and funk to parties, weddings, corporate events and private celebrations. Led by singer Ana Cepello, who performs as Anita Franklin, the project can be booked as an acoustic trio or with the full band.
The full band features Ana Cepello on vocals, Raúl Fernández on electric guitar, Pepe Frías on bass, Roque Toralva on drums and Emilio Grueso on keyboards. The acoustic trio offers a smaller format to consider when planning the event.
Anita Franklin has sung in soul, bossa and jazz groups, and has also performed salsa and Brazilian music. She won Lluvia de Estrellas in 1999 for her Aretha Franklin performance and the Voice of McDonald’s contest in 2010. Her career includes concerts and collaborations with Raimundo Amador and Pepe Bao, recordings for SFDK and Nolasco, and a tour with Ofunkillo. Soul and funk are at the centre of this project, alongside the broader styles in her musical experience.
