Fredi's Jazz Band brings big band arrangements spanning swing, bossa nova, blues, boogie and ballads to live events.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Fredi's Jazz Band is a large ensemble with the breadth and sound of a big band. Its set combines jazz with a range of styles, giving weddings, celebrations and cultural or corporate events a distinctive live music feature. The band approaches music as a shared, collaborative practice.
The line-up brings together voices, a substantial brass and woodwind section, rhythm players and a musical director. Roser Puigbó sings and plays alto sax; Ana Olmo and Arnau Gumà play alto sax; Jan Julià, Marc Calvó and Max Borda play tenor sax; Alba Moré and Queralt Badia play flute; Didac Ventura plays trombone; Jep Grau, Mireia Vidal and Oriol Horcas play trumpet. The band also includes clarinettists Quim Anglada, Llorenç Casals and Oriol Pablos; David Miragall on alto sax and clarinet; Roc Badia on baritone sax and clarinet; Gerard Casulleras on clarinet and piano; Pol Candela on guitar; David Zeiler on double bass; drummers Oriol Ventura and Jordi Herreros; and musical director Enric Alegre.
The big band repertoire ranges across swing, bossa nova, blues, boogie and ballads. It can move between lively sections and more relaxed listening moments.
Past performances include concerts, town festivals, academic events and charity concerts. The ensemble is suited to weddings, public celebrations and cultural programmes with room for a large band.
