Wilbur combines comedy and acrobatics, drawing on his gymnastics career and his Grand Prix appearances.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Wilbur is the comic character created by Víctor Ortiz, an artist with a background in gymnastics and comedy. His act brings together humour and acrobatics, a combination he displayed when demonstrating the Grand Prix challenges with physical feats and comic commentary.
Wilbur’s gymnastics experience gives his stage work an acrobatic edge. A fan of the televised Grand Prix, he introduced a wide audience to the show’s challenges by demonstrating how they worked, using humour and acrobatics. The act centres on that blend of physical skill and comedy.
Wilbur spent 16 years in gymnastics and became Spanish champion in the discipline. He began performing comedy shows in 2003. In 2010, he founded the theatre company MonoAMonoB. The company won the audience award at the Valladolid Festival of Theatre and Street Arts, and toured across Spain as well as Germany, Belgium, France, England, Luxembourg, Portugal and Japan.
The mix of comedy and acrobatics can suit festivals, corporate events and private celebrations looking for a physical stage show with a comic edge.
