A student tuna ensemble with bandurrias and guitars, a mix of traditional and current songs, and more than 100 awards.
Tuna Joven Madrid is a group of young student musicians who bring live music to special occasions. Its roots date back to 1967, and the ensemble has collected more than 100 awards at competitions in Spain and abroad. It suits anyone looking for a tuna group for a wedding, proposal, anniversary, birthday or stag or hen party.
The group usually performs with at least four musicians: two bandurrias and two guitars. Its lively, close-up performance style brings the music directly to guests.
The set spans traditional tuna music, pasodobles, zarzuela, joropos, rumba and South American music. Current songs are also part of the repertoire, allowing the performance to move between familiar classics and more recent favourites.
Tuna Joven Madrid can provide music for weddings and family gatherings, as well as stag and hen parties, birthdays, anniversaries and proposals. Its acoustic, sociable format also works well for serenades and celebrations where guests are gathered close to the musicians.
