Toreros con Chanclas brings together the humour and songs of Toreros Muertos and No me pises que llevo chanclas.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Toreros con Chanclas brings Toreros Muertos and No me pises que llevo chanclas together for a show combining music and comedy. Pablo Carbonell fronts Toreros Muertos, while Pepe Begines leads the Chanclas. Their joint performance draws on both bands’ songs, with a playful approach and new combinations of their material.
The performance goes beyond a straightforward run through the hits: it includes remixes and mash-ups that pair songs from the two groups. Project tracks include «Agüita Agropop» and «Escuela de Idiomas Inventados», which combines «On the desk» with «Washuwarugui». «Yo no me llamo Manuel Sánchez» and «Va a faltar hielo» are also part of the project.
The set connects the comic tone associated with both bands with songs from different points in their careers. Their well-known material includes «Mi agüita amarilla», «Yo no me llamo Javier», «Y tú de quién eres», «Bolillón», «Las calles de Chicago» and «El Canario». The result keeps the groups’ irreverent character while adding arrangements made for this shared format.
This performance can work well at public celebrations, festivals and private events looking for Spanish pop with humour and recognisable songs. It may also suit corporate celebrations for audiences who enjoy agropop and bands from the 1980s and 1990s.
