Cañoneros perform Spanish pop rock favourites from the 1980s and 1990s. Formed in Valladolid in 2008, the band brings together seasoned musicians who have played in other groups. Their live set invites the audience to sing along and join in.
The line-up features guitars, bass, drums and several vocalists. They have their own 4,000 W sound system, suitable for indoor and outdoor settings of around 500 to 600 people, as well as lighting. Stage and power requirements can be discussed for each booking.
The repertoire draws on the Movida and Spanish rock of the 1980s and 1990s, with songs by Tequila, Loquillo, Radio Futura, Nacha Pop, Los Secretos, Burning, Fito, Platero y Tú and others. Tracks include «Chica de ayer», «Cadillac solitario» and «Maneras de vivir».
With more than 700 concerts to their name, Cañoneros have played weddings, town fiestas, popular celebrations, motorbike rallies and private events. They have also performed to an audience of over 10,000 at the Copa del Rey de Rugby final, and shared a bill with Loquillo, Fito, Medina Azahara, La Frontera, Burning and Siniestro Total.
