Reina Roja blend contemporary flamenco-pop, copla, original songs and popular music in a set that can suit the occasion.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Reina Roja bring a contemporary flamenco-pop sound with an elegant yet energetic character. Led by singer María Briones, the performance draws on different musical traditions while keeping its Mediterranean roots in view.
The format can be adapted to the setting. The repertoire brings together original material and popular songs, moving between flamenco, copla and music from around the world that inspires the band.
Reina Roja's influences include the copla associated with Concha Piquer, Argentine tango linked to Carlos Gardel, and flamenco styles connected with Niña Pastori, Niña de los Peines, Carmen Linares and Mayte Martín. There are also pop-rock references such as Luz Casal and Cranberries. The set includes “Palabras para Julia”, “Y sin embargo te quiero”, “Alegrías”, “Ojos verdes” and “Qué bonito”, with the selection tailored to the type of event.
The blend of flamenco-pop, copla and popular repertoire can suit weddings, private celebrations, local fiestas and corporate events looking for a distinctive vocal performance. Sound equipment is provided for events with more than 20 guests.
