Spanish-language melodic pop with soul, R&B and funk influences, performed by Lara Alba and David Sánchez.
Book Luces Desenfocadas for your event
Luces Desenfocadas are a duo featuring singer Lara Alba and musician and producer David Sánchez. Their melodic Spanish-language pop draws on soul, R&B and funk. The set-up brings together two vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, and backing sequences played from a laptop.
What the show offers
The repertoire combines original songs with a selection of covers. The arrangement keeps the vocals and guitars at the centre, supported by sequences. The duo can provide backline and requires a stage, sound system and lighting.
Sound and background
The project began as Sanchez Band, with Lara Alba and David Sánchez. In 2011, Lara’s vocal on «Sueños Perdidos» led to her singing more of the material. They released the EP «Fracturas» in January 2012, reworking earlier songs in styles including soul, R&B and pop, alongside two new tracks. Raúl and Gelu Galván contributed to one recording.
As Sanchez Band, they were among the winners of Prado Rock 09 and opened for Medina Azahara, Uzzhuaia and Skizoo. They also took second prize in the Muxismo Rock 2011 demo competition and won Germany’s Free Music Contest 2011.
Events that suit the duo
Their format suits parties and music programmes looking for Spanish-language pop with soul, R&B and funk influences, including private celebrations.
