Los Chunguitos are a Spanish rumba group of Gypsy origin, a historical reference of popular music in Spain. The original line-up was made up of the brothers Enrique Salazar (1956–1982), Juan Salazar (1954) and José Salazar (1958). After the death of Enrique Salazar in 1982 — a key composer and vocalist of the group — Manuel Salazar (1962), a cousin of the others, joined the band.
With a very strong identity and a style recognizable from the first chord, Los Chunguitos established themselves as an essential name in Spanish rumba, connecting with audiences through their down-to-earth lyrics and authentic character.
