Book Cali & El Dandee: Latin pop and love songs

Booking Cali & El Dandee is an option to consider if you are looking for Latin pop and urban music for your event programme. The Colombian duo combine romantic melodies with reggaeton and have recorded songs such as “Yo te esperaré”, “Por fin te encontré” and “Locura”. These titles offer an introduction to their music before you enquire about a date or outline a performance.

Their discography includes both ballads and songs with a stronger dance focus. When preparing a proposal, consider where the concert would sit within the programme: a headline performance, part of a local celebration or a concert at a dedicated music venue. Explain who your audience is and their connection with this repertoire.

To check availability, use the booking form and provide the date, town or city and proposed venue. Add the type of celebration and an estimated audience size to make the enquiry more specific.

Biography of Cali & El Dandee

Cali & El Dandee consists of Alejandro Rengifo, Cali, and Mauricio Rengifo, El Dandee. The duo come from Colombia and make music rooted in pop and urban sounds. “Yo te esperaré” and “Gol” helped introduce them to listeners outside their home country. Their first album, “3 A.M.”, was released in 2012.

Collaborations are also part of their career. They recorded “No hay dos sin tres” with David Bisbal, a version of “Gol” associated with the European Football Championship in 2012. Juan Magán and Sebastián Yatra featured on “Por fin te encontré”. These are specific references for recognising different stages of the duo's career and their musical work with other Spanish-language pop performers.

In 2020 they released “Colegio”, a record combining reggaeton with romantic pop melodies. It includes “Locura”, with Sebastián Yatra, and “Borracho de amor”, with Reik. “Malibú”, presented in 2022, returned to stories of love and heartbreak; in an interview with RTVE, the artists explained their interest in revisiting this melancholy side of their songs.

“Ángel” followed in 2023, with songs written by Alejandro Rengifo, Mauricio Rengifo and Andrés Torres. Mauricio and Andrés handled production. This part of their career offers an introduction to their songwriting work as well as the songs they perform.

The Cali & El Dandee show

To get to know their music, you can explore songs from different stages of their discography. Romantic pop and reggaeton are part of their musical language, although each title has its own approach. These references help you assess the concert's artistic fit; the specific setlist must be confirmed for the performance you request.

• “Yo te esperaré” and “Gol” offer an introduction to the duo's early period and the songs with which they began to reach listeners beyond Colombia.

• “Por fin te encontré”, with Juan Magán and Sebastián Yatra, and “Locura”, also with Yatra, illustrate their work with other voices in Latin pop.

• “+”, with Aitana, offers another reference: a ballad that RTVE described as having an acoustic character and rap verses.

Recorded collaborations help describe Cali & El Dandee's music. Any guest artist appearances would need to be discussed explicitly. Similarly, agree the length and configuration of the performance before finalising the programme, particularly if the concert shares a stage with other performers.

Cali & El Dandee at local celebrations, fairs and events

Their career includes performances at public celebrations in Spain. The municipal report on the Carmen festivities in Playa Blanca documents a concert by the duo accompanied by their band. This is a documented example of their appearance in a festive programme.

If you are organising a town festival, fair or music festival, submit your enquiry with information about the venue, timings and audience profile. That past performance may help you assess the proposal, while the conditions for your own event need to be considered separately.

You can also enquire about the possibility of a performance at a wedding, private celebration or corporate event. Describe the role the music would play and the space available. Availability and the suitability of the format must be confirmed for each request.
