Jeanette is a singer and songwriter whose career spans more than five decades. Born in London and raised across different cultures, she built a career closely associated with Spanish-language pop. Her gentle voice and wistful lyrics feature in songs recognised by generations of listeners.
Her early career included the group Pic-Nic, with whom she released “Cállate niña”, followed by a solo career that took off with “Soy rebelde”. “¿Por qué te vas?” gained international attention after appearing in Carlos Saura’s film “Cría cuervos”. Other well-known songs include “Frente a frente”, “Corazón de poeta”, “El muchacho de los ojos tristes”, “Con qué derecho” and “Amiga mía”.
