Impromaniac brings comedy improvisation to the stage, inviting audiences to join in with the games.
Impromaniac is a theatre company specialising in comedy and improvisation. Its show asks the audience to move beyond watching from the sidelines and take part in a range of improvised games alongside the performers.
The approach is simple: improvise, play and have fun. Since the scenes are made up during the performance, each show develops in its own way. Audience contributions feed into the games and shape what happens on stage, making this a live comedy format built around interaction.
Founded in 2010, the company has taken its show around Madrid and Andalusia. Its work centres on humour and theatrical improvisation. Rather than following a fixed sequence of sketches, the performance responds to events on stage and the audience’s involvement.
