An interactive children's opera of The Nutcracker set to Tchaikovsky's music: the perfect show for family Christmas programming in 2026.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Discover El Cascanueces's talent in action
The Nutcracker (El Cascanueces) becomes an interactive children's opera that takes young audiences into Clara's tale with the music Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky wrote for the ballet. It is the quintessential Christmas show for municipal theatres, concert halls, school programmes and December family seasons.
The adaptation is based on E. T. A. Hoffmann's tale. Clara is given a Nutcracker doll and, that very night, a dream begins in which the toy comes to life and guides her through a world of fantasy. The Mouse King lies in wait along the way, and defeating him takes the help of the children in the audience.
That participation is the heart of the show: the little ones do not just listen, they become part of the adventure. It is a fun, approachable and memorable way to discover classical music.
The performance is built on Tchaikovsky's score for The Nutcracker:
The music of the party and Clara's gift
The battle against the Mouse King
The dream journey through the land of fantasy
Christmas programming at theatres and concert halls
School programmes and first visits to the theatre
Cultural activities for town councils and community centres
Family classical music series
