Tenor and piano duo performing opera, zarzuela, Latin music and more for ceremonies and events.
Dúo operístico Quilvaro features tenor Miguel Arjona and pianist José Quiles. Both are qualified teachers with extensive professional experience. Their voice-and-piano format can be tailored to suit the occasion and the audience’s preferences.
The repertoire ranges from opera arias and zarzuela to Latin music, jazz, film soundtracks, pop and religious music. For a wedding, the duo can shape the selection around the couple’s tastes. The format also works for ceremonies and celebrations seeking a vocal performance with piano across both classical and popular styles.
Miguel Arjona has performed roles in zarzuela, bel canto and Latin music. His appearances include Teatro Infanta Leonor and Teatro Darymelia in Jaén, Málaga Provincial Council Theatre, Lyon Cathedral and Granada’s Manuel de Falla Auditorium. José Quiles studied piano, harmony, counterpoint and fugue, and has teaching experience in Extremadura and Andalusia.
The duo can perform without amplification, though this may be needed depending on the venue and event. A power socket is required, and they can provide decorative lighting.
