Dulce Pontes brings Portuguese fado to the stage, with an internationally recognised career and songs such as “Canção do Mar”.

Portuguese singer Dulce Pontes is an internationally recognised fado artist. She began studying dance and music in Lisbon, went on to perform in musical theatre, and became more widely known through RTP’s “Regresso ao Passado”.
Her work brings fado together with other musical influences. Following the mainly pop album “Lusitana”, she turned towards fado on “Lágrima”, adding modern rhythms and instruments. “Canção do Mar”, featured on that album, helped build her international profile. She also represented Portugal at Eurovision with “Lusitana Paixão”, finishing eighth.
Songs associated with Dulce Pontes include “Canção do Mar”, “Fado Mae”, “Lágrima”, “Ovelha Negra”, “Fadinho Serrano”, “Velha Chica” and “Your Love”. Her album releases include “A Brisa do Coração – Ao Vivo No Coliseu do Porto”, “Caminhos”, “O Primeiro Canto”, “Focus”, “O Coração Tem Três Portas”, “Momentos” and “Peregrinação”.
Her music may suit concerts, cultural events, weddings, private celebrations and corporate occasions seeking live fado or Portuguese music. The repertoire and performance format can be discussed as part of the event planning.
