Jazz, bossa nova and reworked classics in flexible line-ups, from a duo to a vocal quintet.
Discos de Ayer provides live music for occasions seeking a polished atmosphere and a jazz-led sound. The group brings together professional musicians specialising in jazz, and can tailor its line-up to the event. Options range from a duo to a vocal quintet, with trios and quartets also available.
The performance pairs considered musicianship with an elegant stage presence. A smaller line-up can suit an intimate setting, while a larger group can be chosen to match the space and nature of the occasion. Sound equipment is part of the technical requirements.
The set draws on North American standards from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, including music by Henry Mancini, Jerome Kern, Miles Davis and John Lewis. It also features contemporary hits arranged in a jazz style. Bossa nova is another influence. The client's preferences and requests can be taken into account when planning the music.
Discos de Ayer can provide music for weddings, corporate functions, private celebrations and parties looking for live jazz. The choice of line-up helps shape the performance around different kinds of gathering.
