Diboa performs Brazilian bossa nova and popular music as a duo or band, blending classics with modern arrangements.
Diboa are a Brazilian popular music duo featuring Andrey Casas on vocals and percussion and Fer Ruiz on vocals and guitar. They bring bossa nova and Brazilian songs to events across Spain. You can enquire about the duo or the band option, depending on the occasion and the atmosphere you have in mind.
The duo works particularly well for drinks receptions and intimate gatherings, where guitar, vocals and percussion create a warm, close-up sound. For a party with dancing, the band may be a better fit. The stated minimum stage space for the duo is 3 × 2 metres, with a nearby power socket required.
The repertoire includes songs by Brazilian composers such as João Gilberto, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and Gilsons. Traditional bossa nova sits alongside influences from jazz and música popular brasileira, with contemporary reworkings adding another dimension. Delicate guitar chords, vocals and light improvisation make the music suited to conversation and dinner settings.
