David DeMaría, stage name of David Jiménez Pinteño, is a Spanish singer and songwriter born in Cádiz, with one of the most solid and recognized careers in Spanish pop of the last few decades. Over the course of his career he has sold more than a million records, spread across nine studio albums, establishing himself as an artist much loved by the public.
His relationship with music began at an early age as part of the group Kelliam 71, and at just 19 he started his solo career. Since then, his style has been marked by a careful blend of melodic pop and flamenco, with influences as varied as El Último de la Fila, Mecano and The Beatles, always with a very recognizable personal signature.
In addition to his work as a performer, David DeMaría has developed an important role as a composer, writing songs for top-tier artists such as David Bustamante, Malú and Tamara, which strengthens his standing in the Spanish music industry.
In 2016, after the birth of his son and his participation in the programme A mi manera, he presented the album Séptimo Cielo, accompanied by a tour that took him around Spain and Latin America. Two years later, in 2018, he celebrated 20 years on the road with the release of a new album, presented with the single “Si pudiera”, a special project in CD + DVD format with collaborations by artists such as Manuel Carrasco, Vanesa Martín, Sergio Dalma, Rosana, Chenoa and Eva Ruiz.
