A seven-piece band bringing soul, funk and neo-soul to parties, events and concerts with a polished live sound.
Da Preachers are a Madrid-based band formed in late 2014. Their seven-piece line-up features vocals, trombone, trumpet, saxophone, guitar, bass and drums. With experience performing at events, as live entertainment and in the capital’s main concert venues, they bring a lively stage presence and a distinctive rhythmic feel.
The line-up pairs a lead vocalist with three horns and a guitar, bass and drum section. This gives the performance room for both high-energy passages and more restrained moments. The band aims for a polished, elegant sound rather than an orchestral feel, and can tailor its set to the client’s preferences.
Da Preachers draw on soul and funk, extending into neo-soul. Their repertoire includes songs associated with artists such as James Brown, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Amy Winehouse, Marvin Gaye, Erykah Badu and Maxwell. The selection combines classic and current tracks for a broad audience.
