Live traditional jazz, dixieland and blues for weddings, parties and events, with a lively six-piece line-up.
Aranjuezz Jazz Band brings live jazz to weddings, birthdays, parties and other gatherings. Formed in Aranjuez, the group brings together musicians with varied backgrounds, including classical music, flamenco, big band and modern jazz. Their shared focus is traditional jazz, with room to blend in other influences.
The six-piece line-up features vocals, trombone, saxophone, tuba, guitar and washboard. The band can play in theatres or outdoors, using an acoustic set-up with portable amplification for the voice and guitar. Larger events may require additional sound equipment.
Dixieland sits at the heart of the set, alongside New Orleans jazz and blues. There are also touches of Latin jazz and flamenco. Familiar jazz standards sit alongside popular and more modern songs rearranged in the band’s style, creating an upbeat, danceable set. Songs include “Bourbon Street Parade”, “Hello Dolly”, “St. James Infirmary” and “Georgia on My Mind”.
The group works well at weddings, birthdays and parties looking for friendly live music. Its experience includes the Jazz & the City and Off de Jazz Música en la Calle festivals, as well as regular performances on the terrace of Restaurante Careme in Aranjuez.
