Aller-Retour blend acoustic gypsy jazz, waltz and boleros, with vocals in French, Spanish and English.
Aller-Retour bring an acoustic mix of gypsy jazz, waltz and bolero to weddings, parties and private celebrations. French singer Surya-Anita leads the performance, with songs in French, Spanish and English.
The group can perform in several sizes. The duo pairs guitar and vocals. A trio adds violin, clarinet, trumpet or accordion. The quartet and quintet include tuba or double bass alongside guitar, accordion and one of those melodic instruments. The precise combination depends on the chosen line-up. As an acoustic act, they bring their own equipment and deliver a direct, unplugged sound.
The set includes standards and songs such as «La vie en rose», «Caravan», «Bésame mucho», «La foule» and «Sous le ciel de Paris», as well as Spanish-language material such as «Cuando vuelva a tu lado». Their influences include Edith Piaf, Django Reinhardt, Billie Holiday, Jacques Brel, Cole Porter and Josephine Baker. Surya-Anita adapts jazz standards into Spanish and French.
Aller-Retour are suited to wedding receptions, drinks receptions, private parties and corporate events looking for live acoustic music. They have performed in England, Mexico and Tenerife.
