A correfoc street performance featuring diables, pyrotechnics and Boc Jordiet, the company’s own fire beast.
Colla de Diables Llampec Nois brings the correfoc to events looking for a street performance shaped by fire and local festive culture. Founded in Ferreries in 1986, the company combines tradition with teamwork and a focus on safety.
In a correfoc, the diables follow a set route with pyrotechnic devices while the crowd takes part, moving around the fire or coming close to it. Performances usually take place at night and may include festive figures such as dracs.
Since 2006, the company has had its own fire beast, Boc Jordiet, which features in its performances. The show brings together gunpowder, movement and audience participation. David Subirats is listed as the group’s lead contact.
The performance keeps a festive tradition alive and values inclusion, safety and cooperation among its members. An ambulance and a dressing room are provided for the event.
This format is intended for public festivities and celebrations where a street route can be arranged. The action centres on the route and interaction between the diables and the audience.
