A dance orchestra with line-ups from solo performer to nine musicians, covering styles from pasodoble to disco classics.
We are a booking agency for events, not the artist's team. We work with organisers: festivals, councils, companies, venues and weddings.
Orquesta UTOPÍA offers several line-ups to suit different celebrations, from a solo performer, duo or trio to larger bands. The music ranges from dance-floor favourites to background entertainment, making it possible to shape the show around the event.
The Illinois formation can feature one to seven musicians, including guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion and male and female singers. Discostyle is a nine-person show: a four-piece band, a lead singer, two backing singers and two dancers, all dressed in a 1970s disco style.
Technical provision varies by line-up. Illinois has 5,000-watt sound and a lighting structure. Larger orchestra formats can use a 20,000-watt line-array system, a 9 x 9 metre stage, projection and moving-beam lighting. Three-phase power is required for the larger orchestras.
The catalogue includes more than 700 songs, spanning pasodobles, ballads, Spanish and international pop and rock, rumba, salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia and dance music. Latin numbers can be accompanied by audience animation and dance. Discostyle draws on disco acts such as Jackson 5, Earth, Wind & Fire, the Bee Gees and Kool & the Gang.
This is a fitting choice for town fiestas, open-air dances and celebrations looking for live music, dancing and a choice of formats.
