Yak is a four-piece group of brothers playing raw, classic rock, with a self-produced debut CD recorded at Akirastudios.
Yak are four brothers — Dani, Egoi, Izar and Javi — with a sound rooted in classic, raw rock. Their straightforward rock approach suits events looking for a live band with a distinct edge.
The group tell their beginnings as a tall tale: after being left in the Navarrese Pyrenees, they say they were kept alive by a yak that had escaped from a Russian circus. The story became part of the band’s playful identity and their love of music.
Yak have released their first CD, which they produced and funded themselves. It was recorded at Akirastudios, Daniel Guillén’s studio. Their described style is classic, raw rock.
The quartet can bring live rock to parties, private celebrations, weddings and corporate events. They may also suit town fiestas with a rock-led music programme.
